Land Classification

The two major classifications of lands classified by DENR are: a) the Alienable and Disposable Lands (A & D); and, b) Timberlands. The said office reported that the municipality of Bayog has the greatest area allocated and classified as timberlands with 27,188 hectares, followed by Midsalip of 18,577 hectares, Dumingag of 15,652 hectares and Lakewood of 15,359 hectares. The municipality of Josefina has no area classified as Timberlands. For Alienable and Disposable (A&D) Lands , Pagadian City has the biggest in area followed by the municipality of Aurora, then Dumingag, Tambulig , Lapuyan, Mahayag and Tukuran while the rest are below 10,000 hectares. Lakewood, Bayog, Josefina and Tigbao have smaller area for A & D.
