Waste Disposal System

All municipalities are still employing the traditional method of disposing their waste. A designated open dumping site is the waste depository of the Poblacion and its urban barangays. The households in the rural areas are practicing the composting method. Only Pagadian City is presently implementing the recycling of bio-degradable waste. Some of the households are already sorting and recycling their non-biodegradable into various forms of saleable products. All LGUs are encouraged to implement the Republic Act 9003 or the Solid Waste Management Act.
