Waterworks

There are three (3) levels of waterworks system that currently service the people of the Province, namely: (1) Level I, II and III. Level I consist of Shallow wells, deep wells and spring development. Each facility under this level serves about 250 persons or 25-50 households in a community. Level II Systems are water systems having communal faucets. It has two classifications; these are the gravity-fed and pressure-pumped system. Each system serves about 200 households at an average of 5.7 households per faucet. On the other hand, Level III system serves 1,000 or more households with individual faucets and meters.

The status of the three (3) water system implemented by the government is reflected in Table 7-15 based on the inventory submitted by the Municipal Planning and Development Coordinators (MPDCs) and the reports of the implementing agencies. It shows the inventory of the existing water system by municipalities except Aurora, Dinas, Dumalinao, Kumalarang, Lakewood and Margosatubig who failed to submit.
