Secondary Education
Secondary education in the province is offered
both by the government and private schools. National high schools
are established all over the Province. Private high schools are
more concentrated in Pagadian City and in the poblacions of the
municipalities.
The number of schools, classrooms/classes, and
teachers under the government secondary school education administration
had been gradually increased to serve the increasing number of high
school population. Private secondary education on the other hand,
had experienced a minimal decrease in terms of the number of existing
schools, teachers and enrollment.
The performance indicators in public secondary
education reflect a gradual improvement in the delivery of teaching
services to high school students. Teacher-pupil and classroom-pupil
ratios suggest better accommodation of students and accessibility
of teachers and classrooms.
