Crime Volume
The crime volume in 2001 registered at 588 incidents.
There was a variance of 28.23% decreased compared to last year 791
crime volume. Out of the 588 incidence, there were 408 cases classified
as index crime or 69.38% of the crime volume which was 29.41% lower
compared to 578 crime incidence in the previous year. For non-index
crimes, there were 180 cases or 30.62% of the crime volume which
had a decreased of 15.48% from the last year. The crime incidence
of all types reduced except for abduction. (Table 6-24)
These significant accomplishments affirm the sincerity
and dedicated commitment of Philippine National Police (PNP) to
enforce the law, prevent and control crimes, maintain peace and
order and ensure public safety and internal security with the active
support with the community. PNP implemented program thrust dubbed
as Pulis ng Bayan, Lingkod ng Mamamayan with the emphasis in crime
prevention and control, Effecrive Law Enforcement Support to Internal
Security Operations and Gender Development.
Crime Solution Efficiency and Average Monthly
Crime Rate
For 2000 the efficiency rating of 91.65 increased
with 0.22% in the succeeding year. (Table 6-24)
The average monthly crime rate for 2001 was 3.72
for every 100,000 populace. A decrease was noted when compared to
the crime rate in 2000 which was placed at 5.41 per 100,000 population.
