Gearing the theme “The Agriculture Graduates: A Partner Towards Nation’s Building” the 1st ever Commencement Exercises of the Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Government College was successfully held last April 10, 2017 in its school campus at Poblacion,  Aurora this province.

62 pioneering students of the course Bachelor of Science in Agriculture had successfully earned their diplomas after 4 years of sacrifices and sheer determination to be the first graduates of the young but vigorous learning institution in this part of the country established last 2013.

“Poverty is not a hindrance to success” says Rose Ann Lariosa, one of the graduate who gave her testimony in the formal program as a member of a broken family who made her dreams came true through hard work and perseverance that enable her to be part of the pioneering class of the institution.

“Salamat kayo sa atong amahan sa probinsya, walay lain nga mao si Governor Antonio Cerilles nga mao ang nagtukod sa niining tulunghaan (Zamboanga del Sur Provincial  Government College) nga tinouray ang pagtabang sa mga pobre ug nagtan-aw gayud sa kaugmaon sa mga kabataan sama kanamo”, she said.

The said institution is currently directed by Acting President Dr. Anedem Ebillo which is guided by its ultimate goal of providing quality education in various academic fields geared towards enhancing the level of global competitiveness anchored on integrity and firm morals in sustaining a strong nation.

“It is your hard work, determination, perseverance, character and faith in God that will help you succeed” this is the urge of Gov.
